Aims, Skills and Learning Outcomes

Internship
The Internship unit aims at complementing the academic training carried out during the CTeSP through the integration of the student in the exercise of a professional activity or in the development of activities in companies or organizations that provide real contacts with the working world, after celebrating a protocol.

Professional Report
In exceptional situations where the student is engaged in a professional activity, considering that there is a documented exercise of functions compatible with the academic training, which are relevant to the aims of the Internship and capable of assuring the integration of the student in the active life, this work experience may be considered as an Internship, as long as the student presents a professional report, according to the general regulation.

Programme

Internship:
Having an eminently practical character in a business or institutional environment, the trainee will develop a professional activity delimited by the functional content inherent to the professional opportunities of the CTeSP under the supervision of a Tutor ¿ a hierarchical superior professionally connected with that level, and accompanied by an ISAG teacher who will promote its evaluation with the Company / Institution Tutor. After concluding the Internship, the student / trainee will prepare a report summarizing the work developed during the internship

Professional Report
Each student should develop a Report under the guidance of a Tutorial Teacher appointed by ISAG. There will be tutorial sessions, in which the work and the evolution of the final report will be presented and discussed.
The reports will be publicly presented and defended by the student.

Continuous Assessment

Internship:

1. In the evaluation of the Internship Curricular unit the following elements should be considered:
a) A final assessment/evaluation of the work developed by the intern made by the Tutor of the organization, in which a 0-20 scale should be considered;
b) An Internship Report developed by the intern;
2. The final grade of each one of the Internship curricular units will be defined considering a 0 -20 scale. The evaluation of the organization¿s tutor corresponds to 50% of the final grade, and the Internship Report also represents 50% of the final evaluation.
3. In the Internship Report it is necessary to obtain at least 10/20.
4. The intern that fails to deliver the Internship report and the Internship File properly completed will be awarded with the final grade of Disapproved, being able to require a new evaluation in the appeal season, which, in this case, is the working student season.
5. If there is a non-compliance regarding the regular internship period or if the evaluation of the professional tutor is below 10, the student will be Disapproved and will have to repeat the internship in the next school year.
6. The student will be approved in the Internship after obtaining a grade equal to or above 10.
7. If for any reason whatsoever, the evaluation leads to a Disapproval result, the intern will have to repeat the Internship, thus complying with the global procedures mentioned in the general regulation.

Professional Report:

In the preparation of the Professional Report, the following criteria will be considered:
a) Evaluation of the professional report, with a weighting of 60% of the final grade;
b) Evaluation of the presentation/defence, with a weighting of 40% of the final grade;

The Internship/Professional Reports will be submitted through the Turnitin Data Base, available at the e-Learning platform, with a similarity acceptance rate of 30%.

Final Exam

1. The student that fails to deliver the Professional report or misses/fails the presentation in the dates defined by the Internships¿ Board, except in cases of force majeure, will be disapproved, with the possibility of requiring a new evaluation in the appeal season.
2. A teacher will be appointed as Tutor, with the aim of guiding the student in the development of the professional report, thus defining the scientific and methodological criteria;
3. There will be a Jury composed of two teachers, with the mandatory participation of the Tutor teacher, in order to assess and evaluate the report and the presentation.

Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes

The teaching methodology aims to promote learning in its practical component. The main purpose is, essentially, to expose students to the work environment of their reference area.
