Aims, Skills and Learning Outcomes

The Project Work curricular unit consists of essentially applied research and inserted in the scope of the subjects covered throughout the degree. The work can focus on diagnosing an identified problem, studying a new problem and/or applying methods and tools to solve a situation that has already been identified by someone else or by the student. The project can, if the conditions for it exist, be carried out in a school environment, being, by nature, the result of an entirely individual and unprecedented work.

Programme

The student must develop a Report under the guidance of an Accompanying Faculty appointed by the ISAG. Tutorial sessions will be used where they will present and discuss the work carried out and the evolution of the final report.
The size of the report must not exceed 30 pages, excluding cover, indexes, appendices and attachments. Reports will be presented and defended publicly.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's learning objectives

The project work presents a fundamentally practical learning component, intending that students are able to apply the knowledge obtained in the curricular units taught to carry out a study.

Learning Methods

Preparation of practical work.

Continuous Assessment

The student must develop a Report under the guidance of an Accompanying Professor who will assess the final quality of the work. The combination of the work and the Report presented by the student should result in a weighted assessment that will constitute 60% of the final grade and its presentation/defence 40%. The presentations/advocates will be made before a jury consisting of the Accompanying Teacher and another teacher appointed for the purpose.
The jury will carry out a prior evaluation of the work that will decide on its presentation and defense. The scheduling of presentations will be posted in an opportune place and made known to the students by the respective Accompanying Teacher.

Final Exam

The student who does not deliver the Project Work, as well as fails or fails in its defense, except for reasons of force majeure, will be assigned the final grade of failure, and may require a new assessment at the time of appeal.

Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes

The teaching methodology aims to enhance practical learning. The aim is essentially for the student to prepare an original study that seeks to respond to a new or existing problem.
